
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday stated that Israel and the United States were determined to end Iranās nuclear and missile capabilities.
The premier spoke on the third day of the aerial assault when he visited the site of an Iranian missile attack that killed nine people in Beit Shemesh.
He said the location was ābombarded by the terrorists in Tehran,ā adding that āThe tyrants of Tehran target civilians; we target the tyrants of Tehran to protect civilians.ā
According to Netanyahu, the ongoing Operation Roaring Lion was launched to protect Israel and āprotect many othersā by thwarting āexistential threats.ā
Recalling his prediction that Europe would be targeted, he said: āThey fired yesterday at a large part of the countries of the region.ā Iranās drone struck a British military base in Cyprus on Sunday.
Netanyahu rallied support for the military action against Iran, calling the Islamic Republicās leadership a āterrorist regime of the kind weāve never seen in the world.ā
The prime minister warned that Tehranās access to nuclear weapons and the means to deliver ballistic missiles and intercontinental ballistic missiles āwill threaten all of humanity.ā
Iran, meanwhile, is not backing down āaāfter the February 28 killing of its āsupreme leader Ali Khameneiā and other top leaders on the first day of the US-Israel operation.
āThere have been attacks against territories across the region, including Bahrain, Iraqās Kurdistan Region, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
