
The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, has advised students across the country to stay away from fraudulent activities and uphold integrity in their daily lives.
This was disclosed in a statement posted on the official X page of the EFCC following a study visit by students and management of ACAD System International School, Jikwoyi, Abuja, to the EFCC Academy in Karu, Abuja, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Olukoyede, who was represented by Assistant Commander of EFCC, ACE I Chidimma Amanambu, told the students that integrity built from a young age forms the foundation of a corruption free society.
He encouraged them to be good ambassadors of their families, schools and communities.
āMake responsible choices, shun fraudulent practices and serve as ambassadors of honesty,ā he said.
According to the statement, the EFCC chairman noted that the visit aligns with the Commissionās focus on preventive education and youth engagement as part of its strategy in tackling corruption and economic crimes.
In a separate presentation, Deputy Commandant of the EFCC Academy, Assistant Commander Aliyu Yunisa, explained the statutory functions of the Commission, including the investigation, prevention and prosecution of economic and financial crimes, as well as collaboration with local and international partners.
Deputy Superintendent of the EFCC, Angel O. Israel, warned the students about the consequences of engaging in financial crimes and urged them to embrace integrity, accountability and patriotism.
The event featured an interactive session, guided tours of facilities at the Academy and a question and answer segment where the students engaged officials on the Commissionās operations, the statement noted.
