‘You lied, charge my father to court, prove he’s a thief’ – El-Rufai’s son to ICPC

Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, House of Representatives member from Kaduna North and son of former governor Nasir El-Rufai, has told the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, to charge his father to court and prove that he’s a thief.

Bello issued the charge while insisting that ICPC lied in their report about phone-tapping devices recovered from El-Rufai’s residence in Abuja.

He was reacting to an ICPC report on items recovered from El-Rufai’s residence during a recent raid.

ICPC had claimed to have recovered a range of documents, electronic devices, and other items from El-Rufai’s residence during the raid.

Reacting on X, Bello wrote: “Let me correct it for you. ICPC confirmed that they lied after I denied their so called reports.

“They should charge Mallam to court and prove he is the thief they claim.

“No media campaign will succeed as long as I am around by the grace of God. I will counter it day and night. If they had lied again.

“I would have posted the pictures of everything they illegally took from Mallam’s house in the horrible handwriting of their own agent. Thanks.”
