Iran’s Supreme Leader vows retaliation against US, Israel

Iran’s new supreme religious leader, Alireza Arafa, has vowed to respond to the United States and Israel, declaring that the time for peace is over.

In an urgent statement posted on social media on Tuesday, Arafa accused the US of crossing a red line following what he described as air strikes by the US and Israel on Iranian military sites and key infrastructure.

He warned that by launching the attacks, the US had signed its own death warrant and that Iran would retaliate against both the US and Israel.

The strikes follow months of tension over Iran’s regional influence, missile programme and alleged nuclear ambitions—claims Tehran has repeatedly denied.

Arafa rejected Western assertions that the strikes were pre-emptive, maintaining that Iran did not initiate the conflict.

He also cautioned Israel to expect continued retaliation.
