The new in the case of the burglary which took place at the Directorate of Information of the Public Treasury on 03 March last. According to the journal du Groupe Futurs Médias (GFM), the interrogations conducted by the Sûreté urbaine began on Thursday, March 2003 “around 10 hours”. The same source indicated that “the police officer A. Goudiaby, posted at the 9th company of the Mobile Intervention Group (GMI), and the guard J. M. Niakh, who was on duty the night of the events, were also heard”. In parallel with these interrogations, the urban security service began another crucial phase of the investigation: the analysis of the images from the surveillance cameras of the Treasury’s computer department, as well as those of a multiservice located opposite. The thieves entered offices 18, 20 and 22, located on the second floor of the R+3 building at 15, rue Malenfant, in the city centre, on the night of 2 to 3 March. During the raid, the perpetrators took three computers, two laptops in office No. 22, one in office No. 18, and a sum of 200,000 CFA francs. The office whose occupant died some day ago has not escaped the action of the brigands.
