One dead as bandits attack Gidan Dadi in Sokoto 

One person has been reported dead after bandits attacked Gidan Dadi community in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X on Thursday by security analyst Bakatsine.

According to the post, the attackers stormed the community at night, killing a resident during the raid.

The bandits also rustled a large number of livestock before fleeing the area.

Residents were said to have reported that the armed men moved freely through the community during the attack before escaping with the stolen animals.

“Last night, bandits reportedly attacked Gidan Dadi community in Tangaza LGA, Sokoto State, killing one person and rustling a large number of livestock. Residents say the attackers moved freely through the area before fleeing with the animals.

“How long will rural communities continue to face these raids without timely security response?,” Bakatsine wrote.
