Members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are set to hold a crucial meeting in Abuja on Wednesday following the Court of Appeal judgment that affirmed the nullification of the partyās national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025.
The meeting, scheduled for March 11, 2026, will take place at 2 p.m. at 1, Sabo Ago Street, LifeCamp, Abuja, according to a notice issued by the BoT Chairman, Mao Ohuabunwa.
In the notice, Ohuabunwa formally invited all members of the board to attend the meeting, describing it as a gathering of the BoT duly recognized under the current leadership structure of the party.
He stated that the board was constituted by the National Caretaker Working Committee led by Abdulrahman and Samuel Anyanwu, in line with the earlier judgment of the Federal High Court and its subsequent affirmation by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
āNote that this is the only BoT recognised as constituted by the Abdulrahman/Anyanwu-led National Caretaker Working Committee pursuant to the Federal High Court decision and ratified by the Court of Appeal in Abuja,ā the notice read.
Ohuabunwa also cautioned party members against responding to any other notice claiming to convene a meeting of the PDP BoT, urging them to disregard such invitations.
He further stressed that only duly notified members of the board would be accredited to attend the meeting, warning that non-members should stay away from the venue.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on the implications of the appellate courtās decision which upheld the earlier ruling of the Federal High Court nullifying the Ibadan convention that produced Tanimu Turaki as national chairman of the party.
