A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Emmanuel Ogigi, has said that governors defecting from the party to the All Progressives Congress, APC, cannot survive in the ruling party.
He also stated that the APC government is not a government, saying it promised Nigerians heaven on earth but delivered nothing.
“They promise everything, they fail in everything. So I don’t consider them a government, but I do know that Nigerians cannot stand another term of APC. I don’t know how it’ll play out, but I do know that Nigeria can’t exist under APC,” Ogigi said on Arise News.
“APC is a monster. That’s why some of us are determined to see democracy thrive. I’m in this field because we cannot allow this monster to fester. So we’re determined.”
Asked about PDP governors leaving the party to join the APC he described as a monster, he said: “They are being coerced to go there, but let me tell you the truth, they can’t fit in there. They will come back immediately. They can’t survive there.
“Let me tell you the truth, our PDP governors going there cannot fit in, because what is going on there is only God that can explain it.
“You see the two left now have taken a position, I will respect them for that, and we are working with them to ensure that this seemingly disadvantaged position we entered yesterday, God will help us get out of it. And when we get out of it, we are very sure that we will do the needful and liaise with other like minds.”
