Following the ban on a sit-in in front of the Embassy of Rwanda in Dakar, Ambassador Jean-Pierre Karabaranga initiated a meeting with the Front for a Popular and Pan-African Anti-Imperialist Revolution (FRAPP). The objective was to exchange views on the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), in particular on the violence linked to the M23 and the alleged role of Rwanda in the conflict. The organization stressed the importance of a political and diplomatic solution to achieve a lasting peace. The FRAPP calls for a pan-African mobilization to defend the sovereignty of peoples and promote an inclusive dialogue in the resolution of regional conflicts.
