
Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah, on Tuesday night surpassed the club’s legend Jamie Carragher’s record at the Reds.
According to OptaJoe, Salah became Liverpool’s all-time record appearance maker in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League after featuring against Galatasaray in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie in Turkey, overtaking Carragher’s 80 appearances.
The Egyptian international has 81 appearances for Liverpool in European competitions.
Meanwhile, Salah failed to score against Galatasaray during the encounter.
The 33-year-old was replaced by Jeremie Frimpong in the 60th minute of the encounter.
Salah joined Liverpool from Serie A side AS Roma in 2017 and has been impressive for the Premier League champions so far.
