Former Spain midfielder, Guti, has said Real Madrid’s clash with Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday will be difficult.
The two teams have played each other six times in a Champions League knockout stage since 2015–16.
Madrid have the 4-2 edge over City, as they have won the most recent knockout tie 6-3 on aggregate in last season’s playoffs.
In a chat with Efe, Guti said the LaLiga giants will be depending on home support against Pep Guardiola’s men.
He said: “That’s what we Madrid fans cling to, the fact that the tie is difficult, but that Madrid pride and those magical nights at the Bernabéu can return.
“Let’s see if all of that helps Madrid grow and reach a good level so that, above all, we can go into the second leg with hopes of advancing.”
