​Senegal 2050: The BOAD reaffirms its commitment alongside President Bassirou Diomaye Faye 

  The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received in audience, this Tuesday, Serge Ekué, President of the Bank of West African Development (BOAD). The meeting took place in the context of the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Senegal and the regional financial institution to support the implementation of the Senegal 2050 programme. This partnership is based on structural investments targeting strategic sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, energy, social housing and youth employment. The BOAD’s support is an essential lever for boosting growth and meeting the challenges of urbanisation, modernisation of infrastructure and the creation of economic opportunities, particularly for Senegalese youth. By focusing on inclusive and sustainable growth, this partnership aims to strengthen the economic resilience of Senegal while improving the living conditions of the population. The BOAD’s commitment alongside Senegal is thus part of a long-term development dynamic, aligned with the objectives of the Senegal 2050 programme, with the aim of building a prosperous, competitive and socially balanced nation.
