Ogun: Police clarify alleged shooting of Broda Shaggi 

The Ogun State Police Command says it has initiated an investigation to determine the factuality of reports alleging that popular skit maker, Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, was shot within the state.

Reports earlier purported that the social media influencer was shot in the Sango-Ota area of the state.

Reacting, the Ogun State Police Command, in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said preliminary investigation revealed that no such incident occurred within the state.

The statement reads, “For clarity, the command cannot confirm that such an incident occurred anywhere within its jurisdiction. Additionally, no such incident has been reported at any police formation across the state.

“In line with the Command’s commitment to professionalism and transparency, investigations have been initiated to ascertain the facts and verify the claim. The command is actively carrying out necessary investigations to determine the true circumstances of the report.

“Citizens are advised to rely solely on official police communication while the investigation runs its course. The Command remains committed to the safety of all residents and the maintenance of law and order across Ogun State.”
