
The US President, Donald Trump has expressed excitement over the death of the former Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI director, Robert Mueller.
DAILY POST reports that the former FBI director and special died on Saturday, March 21 as confirmed in a statement by the deceased’s former law firm, WilmerHale.
Late Mueller, who oversaw an investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, died at the age of 81.
The statement described Mueller as an “extraordinary leader and public servant and a person of the greatest integrity.
“His service to our country, including as a decorated officer in the Marine Corps, as FBI Director, and at the Department of Justice, was exemplary and inspiring”.
Reacting, Trump in a Truth Social post on Saturday night, said he is glad the former FBI director is dead.
He wrote, “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people! President DONALD J. TRUMP”.
