​Ighalo Contributes Assist in Al Wehda’s Away Victory Amid Relegation Struggles    

 

Odion Ighalo contributed an assist as struggling Al Wehda secured a 2-0 victory over Al Khaleej in the Saudi Professional League on Friday. This marked Ighalo’s first assist of the season, bringing his total to five goals in 24 league appearances. The 35-year-old striker has now scored in consecutive matches for Al Wehda. He assisted Juninho Bacuna for the opening goal just two minutes after the match began. Bacuna later assisted Youssef Amyn for the second goal in the 63rd minute. Ighalo was substituted with five minutes remaining in the match. Despite the win, Al Wehda still sits in the relegation zone, ranked 16th in the 18-team league table with 20 points.
