This news follows the return of the club’s defensive midfielder and ex-Nigeria international, Shehu Abdullahi, who has rejoined the team after a break for the funeral of the late Abubakar Lawal. The footballer, originally from Nigeria, was said to have plunged from the third-floor balcony of the Voicemall Arcade in Kampala, Uganda, resulting in his death. Garba, commonly referred to as ‘Yaro Yaro’, has been managing the technical responsibilities of Sai Masu Gida since the suspension of Technical Adviser Usman Abd’Allah last month, as reported to Completesports. On Friday afternoon, it was reported that the club is focusing more on the league than the Federation Cup. This weekend, Kano Pillars will face Nasarawa United in a match for NPFL’s 29th matchday. On Tuesday, March 17, they are set to compete against Rangers at the Bwari Mini Stadium in Abuja for a Round of 64 match in the 2025 President Federation Cup. “We are ready for our game against Nasarawa United, as well as the FA Cup match on Tuesday, March 17, against Rangers,” said Ahmed Garba (Yaro Yaro) in an interview with Completesports. In a recent exclusive interview, he mentioned, “We have two important games lined up back-to-back, but we are focusing more on the league match than the FA Cup. As Kano Pillars, we’re not far from the top three, and with added effort, we can still accomplish something this season. However, this doesn’t imply that we will overlook the FA Cup.”
