EPL: Maresca Urges Chelsea to Maintain Ball Control Against Arsenal

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has called on his team to maintain possession against Arsenal to secure a favorable outcome at the Emirates Stadium. A victory this weekend would bring the Blues within three points of the Gunners in the league standings, despite both teams struggling offensively recently. During an interview on the club’s website, Maresca emphasized that Chelsea plans to be aggressive in their approach against Arsenal on Sunday. “The goal will be that,” Maresca stated. “Our ability to succeed largely hinges on the opponent. If we adopt a strategy of sitting back and waiting, our forwards will certainly need to sprint 60 to 70 meters twenty times. However, if we play on the opponent’s side, there won’t be room for such sprints. Therefore, our strategy is to maintain control of the game, but since they are likely to apply high pressure and play aggressively, we will probably find more opportunities to counter-attack.”
