Rwanda’s national football team, the Amavubi, has revealed a provisional squad of 28 players selected by their new head coach Adel Amrouche in preparation for the upcoming Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Nigeria and Lesotho. The Rwanda Football Association shared the announcement on their X account on Saturday. Amrouche’s squad includes four goalkeepers, eight defenders, nine midfielders, and seven forwards. The Amavubi currently lead Group C with seven points and will face the Super Eagles on Friday, March 21, before hosting Lesotho on Tuesday, March 25. In addition, Nigeria’s new coach, Eric Chelle, has announced a 23-man squad for their matches. The Super Eagles will start their training camp in Kigali on Sunday, March 16, ahead of the game against Rwanda. By James Agberebi.
