Troops attached to Sector 1 of Operation Whirl Stroke, operating from FOB Bilawa-Jor, carried out a combat patrol across the Mbapa and Mbabuande areas on March 23, 2026.

After chasing the fleeing suspects, four individuals were arrested and are now in military custody pending further investigation and possible prosecution.
In a related operation, troops intercepted a vehicle loaded with two cows, believed to have been abandoned by suspected cattle rustlers in Uhemba.
The development occurred around 0348hrs on March 24, 2026, after security operatives acted on intelligence reports about rustling activities in the area.
On sighting the troops, the suspects reportedly fled, leaving behind the vehicle and the livestock.
