Former Italy defender, Marco Materazzi, has said that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola knows Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta very well.
In an interview with Hajper, he claimed Guardiola knows how to stop Arteta.
However, Materazzi believes the Gunners must pray for luck if they are to win the treble this season.
Arsenal lost out on the first piece of silverware to City last Sunday, thanks to a 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup final.
However, they remain in the hunt for three other trophies – the FA Cup, the Premier League and the Champions League.
Materazzi said: “I think Arsenal are a very good team. They play very well. But their manager was the right-hand man of Pep Guardiola, so Pep knows him best. He knows everything about Mikel Arteta so he knows how to stop them.
“Arsenal will run for the title. I saw them play against Inter. They played very well. They are just a little bit young. They do not have the experience, but I think they have the opportunity to win, and I think they can win the treble.
“How can Arsenal win the treble? You have to be lucky. You have to be focused. You must stay fit because each game from now until the end of the season is a final. You have to be perfect in any game.”
