Former vice president and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the mother of former Kaduna governor, Nasir El-rufai.
Atiku expressed shock on his x handle shortly after the news of the incident circulated online on Friday.
His post read, ālInna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiāun.
āThe news of the demise of Hajia Umma El-Rufai is a shocking development.
āI extend my heartfelt condolences to the @elrufai family and friends and pray that Allah (SWT) accepts her soul and grant her Al-Janna Firdaus.ā He said
He described her as a woman of sound faith.
āHajia Umma lived to a prime old age in dignity and service to family and community. She was a woman of sound faith and her passing on the day of Jumuāah is a source of consolation to the family.
āIt is my prayer that Allah comforts the family and ease their grief,ā he said.
