A senior military officer has lost his life in a road accident along the Abuja–Kaduna highway.
The incident was contained in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, the accident occurred on March 28 at Azara village near Jere in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The crash reportedly involved a commercial Sharon bus and a BUA Cement truck.
The officer identified as Maj. AM Abubakar, was said to be a passenger in the commercial vehicle at the time of the accident. He was also a student at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC).
Sources quoted in the post said the officer died on the spot, while other passengers sustained minor injuries.
His remains were later taken to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.
It was also gathered that his personal belongings were handed over to his family after they arrived at the hospital.
Authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause of the crash as investigations are ongoing.
