
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan has arrived in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, to participate in a quadrilateral ministerial meeting.
The meeting is aimed at discussing regional developments and efforts to de-escalate tensions linked to the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran.
In a post on X, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Prince Faisal arrived in the Pakistani capital to attend talks involving Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey.
The meeting is being held to coordinate positions and address regional security challenges.
According to the Saudi state news agency, SPA, the discussions will take place within the framework of consultation and coordination among the participating countries, focusing on developments in the region and efforts to enhance security and stability.
The meeting comes as diplomatic efforts to contain the conflict have intensified, with no direct negotiations between the United States and Iran confirmed.
DAILY POST reports that Pakistan has emerged as a key intermediary in the crisis, relaying messages between Washington and Tehran and offering to host talks aimed at ending the war.
Recall that the United States and Israel on February 28, launched air strikes on Iran killing its Supreme Leader and other government officials.
