
Gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have pledged to dislodge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state in 2027.
The APC aspirants made the declaration during a meeting with the immediate past first lady in the state, Mrs Florence Ajimobi.
The meeting was held in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Our correspondent reports that the meeting was attended by gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the party among whom are Senator Sharafadeen Alli, Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu, former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin and the senator representing Oyo North, Dr Abdulfatai Buhari.
It was also attended by Aderemi Oseni, Barrister Akeem Agbaje and other gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the party.
A source at the meeting told DAILY POST that the former first lady spearhead the meeting.
The source noted the aspirants and other chieftains of the party have resolved to work together in the interest of the party.
The source added that all the stakeholders pledged to work together in order to dislodge PDP in 2027.
“There was a meeting of gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of APC. It was attended by former first lady and the aspirants.
“We also have some other stakeholders of the party there. They resolved to work together in order to dislodge PDP in 2027,” the source said.
