According to the statement, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit carried out the operation at about 1200hrs in the Owode Egba area of the state, following intelligence received through INTERPOL.

ā€œThe Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, commends the professionalism, tactical efficiency, and swift response of the operatives, as well as the synergy with international law enforcement agencies,ā€ the statement read.

The command added that investigation was ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicate, while the suspects will be charged to court after the process is concluded.
