Real Madrid attacker, Kylian Mbappe, is said to be against the idea of Real Madrid bringing in former Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp as their next manager.
Instead, the France captain is pushing for his countryman Zinedine Zidane to take the reins for a third time.
Recall that Real Madrid dismissed Xabi Alonso in January and brought in Alvaro Arbeloa.
With the club on track for a trophyless campaign, Arbeloa is expected to leave this summer, prompting the search for a new manager, and Klopp’s name has emerged as a candidate.
But according to Football365, as reported by Sportskeeda, Mbappe is unconvinced by the prospect of hiring the German coach.
He would much prefer Zidane, who has already had two separate spells in charge of the Real Madrid dugout.
Meanwhile, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had confirmed that Klopp is indeed on Real Madrid’s radar, though no serious progress has been made.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano noted that the situation remains in its early stages, adding that it is not ‘concrete’.
