Rhein Energie Stadion on Saturday.
Czech international Patrik Schick bagged a brace for the Black and Reds.
Tella set up Schick for the second goal seven minutes after the break.
It was Tella’s third assist of the season for Leverkusen.
The Nigeria international has made 16 league appearances for Kasper Hjulmand’s side this season.
Leverkusen remain in fifth position with 55 points from 31 matches.
