We have much prayed and fought for serious, honest and sincere leaders who do not squander public funds. Fortunately, Dieu has answered our prayers by putting the tandem DIOMAYE-SONKO at the head of our dear country, the Senegal, thus avoiding us the chaos. All the Senegalese on board must accompany them in this noble mission. Their vision of developing Senegal is very clear as evidenced by the 2050 reference point. However, we must all work for the change of mentalities, because development requires a number of conditions. As the French economist Perroux (1966) put it, “economic development is the combination of the mental and social changes of a population which enable it to increase cumulatively and durably its real global output”.
