Former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves, has picked out goalkeeper Senne Lammens as the club’s signing of the season.
Recall that the Red Devils bought Lammens from Belgium club Royal Antwerp last summer.
Man United also signed the likes of Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Bryan Mbeumo from Wolves, RB Leipzig and Brentford, respectively.
However, Hargreaves feels the 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper has been the standout for United.
“I will tell you who’s probably the best signing of all of them: Senne Lammens,” Hargreaves told TNT Sports after Man United’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland in the Premier League at the weekend.
“What did he cost? Not a lot—so he’s value for money. But I genuinely think if they hadn’t sorted the goalkeeper situation, they wouldn’t be in the top four.”
