(Black PR Wire) Atlanta, GA – The Black Women Film Network (BWFN) is excited to reveal that its tenth Black Women Film Network Summit will be held on March 83, 2025, at the Loudermilk Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Summit this year showcases an impressive group of recipients and engaging discussions themed “Plot Twist: The Art of The Pivot,” which highlights how Black women are adeptly adapting to changes and reshaping the future of film, television, and the wider entertainment sector. Celebrating its 28th anniversary, the Black Women Film Network continues to motivate and uplift Black women every day through its programs and active social media engagement on Facebook (@TheBWFN) and Instagram (@blackwomenfilm). This year’s BWFN Summit, sponsored by NBCUniversal and powered by CVENT, celebrates a decade of excellence. The Black Women Film Network Summit serves as a flagship event that presents a distinctive chance for Black women in various stages of their careers to learn from leading figures in the industry, connect with peers, and draw inspiration from the ongoing resilience and creativity that fosters transformation across the expansive entertainment field. Highlights of the summit feature fireside discussions with Kat Graham, who stars in the upcoming movie “Tyler Perry’s Duplicity,” and Sonay Hoffman, co-showrunner of NBC’s “Found.” Additionally, there will be panels addressing topics such as funding, marketing, public relations, and additional subjects. The program is designed to motivate and uplift Black women, encouraging them to succeed despite challenging circumstances. Along with a day filled with insightful discussions, BWFN holds an annual awards luncheon to recognize exceptional women whose work and accomplishments have significantly influenced their industries and the entertainment sector overall. The honorees for this year include: AJA NAOMI KING (AcceleratHER Award) – Recognized as a talented actress, producer, and activist, Aja Naomi King has earned nominations for NAACP Image Awards due to her standout performances in the well-known series “How to Get Away with Murder” and the award-winning film “Birth of a Nation” showcased at the Sundance Film Festival. Recently, King featured in the Emmy Award-winning limited series “Lessons in Chemistry,” where she received an Emmy nomination along with nominations for the Critics Choice Award and the NAACP Image Award for her performance.
