The Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly Screening Appeal Committee, says the final list of aspirants cleared is set to be released.
Chairman of the Committee, Abdul Mahmud, made this known on Thursday.
Mahmud confirmed that 58 out of the 65 disqualified aspirants appeared at the party’s secretariat to appeal their disqualification.
“98 persons were screened by the committee. Again, I must emphasize, I didn’t screen those 98 individuals nor did my colleagues.
“Thirty-three were cleared to go to the next stage, and 65 were not cleared for for some reasons. I have seen their documents, gone through documents, spoken to the appellants since yesterday. We spent close to 10 hours straight hearing oral testimonies of appellants who appeared before us,” he said.
