Former Zamfara State governor and Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Muhammad Matawalle, has arrived in Gusau ahead of the APC primaries in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Ahmad Dan-Wudil, Media Adviser to Bello Matawalle, and shared on Facebook.
“Today, the former Governor of Zamfara State and current Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Muhammad Matawalle, MON, arrived in Gusau, Zamfara State, ahead of the APC primaries in the state.”
The statement added: “On arrival, the Honourable Minister, alongside the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Dauda Lawal, held a meeting with party leaders and aspirants at the Government House, Gusau.”
Among those present at the meeting were former governors, Senator Ahmad Sani Yarima and Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi.
Also in attendance were APC State Chairman Kabiru Moyi Birnin Magaji, State Party Secretary Ibrahim Maigandi, and other party stakeholders.
