Kwa-Thema – The Unified Scout Group, under Masupatsela WOLF-SA, embarked on an educational excursion to the local fire department on Saturday. This youth development organisation is committed to equipping young people with crucial life skills and values.
“The visit left a lasting impact on the young Scouts and inspired some to consider a future career in firefighting.
“The eye-opening experience provided a fun and interactive learning environment and highlighted the importance of community service and civic engagement.
“By engaging our youth in meaningful activities, we can protect them from harm and empower them to become active citizens,” said Tebogo Rakgabyane chief Scout leader of Masupatsela WOLF-SA and acting group master guider for Unified Scout Group.
He said their mission is to better the lives of youth and leave communities positively impacted. The visit to the Kwa-Thema Fire Station is one example of WOLF Scouting’s innovative approach to youth development.
With a focus on hands-on learning, community service, and leadership development, WOLF Scouting inspires a new generation of active citizens and change-makers.
“Thank you to the firefighters Ferdinand Maboya, Lefu Tshabalala, Patrick Bamuza, Solly Mchunu, Tebogo Mashinini and Joseph Mathipa, who took the time to be of service to our WOLF Scouts.
“All the firefighters were also paramedics. The Scouts’ enthusiasm and eagerness impressed us to learn. It’s essential to inspire the next generation to become active citizens and community servants,” said Maboya.
