​Cooperation Senegal-Japan: Minister Moustapha Ndiek Sarré receives a delegation from the JICA 

  This Monday 24 March 2025, the Minister of Vocational Training, Moustapha Ndiek Sarré, granted an audience to a delegation of the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA). This meeting is part of the strategic partnership between Senegal and Japan on vocational and technical training (FPT). At the opening of the discussions, the Minister expressed his deep gratitude to Mr. Morishita Hirochimi, Resident Representative of JICA, for his commitment and significant contributions to the strengthening of the vocational training system in Senegal. It particularly welcomed the efforts made to make the Centre de Formation Professionnelle et Technique Sénégal/Japan (CFPT/SJ) a model of excellence in the sector. ” We recognize the major role played by M. Morishita Hirochimi in the accompaniment of Senegal through structural initiatives aimed at modernizing our training system. “Its engagement has given rise to a positive dynamic in the CFPT/SJ, which today constitutes a reference”, declared le ministre. This audience was also an opportunity for Mr. The European Union is committed to the implementation of the UN Charter and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Mr Moustapha Ndiek Sarré welcomed him and reaffirmed Senegal’s willingness to continue and strengthen this fruitful cooperation. “We are convinced that Ms Junko Musida will continue the work undertaken with the same determination, and we remain fully prepared to deepen our collaboration with the JICA for the development of vocational and technical training”, he underlined. The partnership between Senegal and JICA has led to important advances in the field of technical training, providing the country with modern infrastructures and programmes adapted to the requirements of the labour market.
