Pooley, the later Kumasi Asante Kotoko admirer, has “exposed” his partner Gifty for lying about how many children he had.
It became clear that the well-known Kotoko lover had six children after his brutal murder during a game against Nsoatreman FC.
Many pledges were made in the days following Pooley’s passing to provide for him and his children. The Asantehene, who is also the life-supporting member of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko basketball team, made a promise to provide for the children’s education.
To ensure that all six children received free education, Otumfuo’s education fund was set up to fund their education.
But, in a remarkable turn of events, Pooley’s family has disowned four of the six children, alleging they are not his.
A Pooley kin claimed in an interview that he only had two children with his first spouse. She claimed that Pooley had already had four children with an Ram person who is still alive and that she had married Gifty.
The family expressed shock that Gifty changed her children’s surname to Frimpong ( Pooley’s real name is Francis Yaw Frimpong ) in his obituary, claiming he had six children when only two of them can be identified.
Despite the fact that Gifty and Pooley had no relation to Pooley, they believe she made the necessary changes to ensure that any gains she receives from Pooley’s passing may also benefit her children.
