​Egypt To Host U-20 AFCON After Cote d’Ivoire’s Withdrawal    

 

Egypt will now host the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, reports Completessports.com.. Initial hosts, Cote d’Ivoire pulled out from staging the competition on Wednesday.. The Fédération Ivoirienne de Football (“FIF”) and the Government of Côte d’Ivoire informed CAF that due to unforeseen circumstances, they won’t be able to host competition again.. The Egyptian Football Association and the Egyptian Government had previously submitted a bid to host the biennial tournament.. Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are among the teams that will feature in the tournament.. Aliyu Zubairu’s side has been drawn in Group B with Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa..
