Moscow Presents Large-Scale Kinetic Installation In Zaryadye ParkĀ

Moscow – The multimedia program ā€œThe Russia Code,ā€ which seamlessly blends digital art, 3D graphics, and kinetic engineering, has premiered in Moscow.

Timed to coincide with the national holiday, Russia Day, the project was presented at the renowned Zaryadye Park.

The centerpiece of the show is the interactive installation ā€œThe Moscow Matryoshka,ā€ showcasing the capital’s advanced IT capabilities in modern public space design to the international community.

Key Features of the Project

  • Kinetic Engineering: The art object’s structure consists of 1 500 independent honeycomb media screens. Powered by automated drives, the installation dynamically alters its shape to recreate intricate natural textures, ranging from Arctic ice crystals to volcanic rocks and turbulent river currents.
  • Digital Visualization: Capital-based digital artists created 30 unique three-dimensional scenes. Using vivid, evocative imagery, they reveal the diversity of nature, traditional ethnic patterns, cultural values, and key scientific milestones.
  • Spatial Culmination: In the program’s finale, the installation transforms into a massive 22-meter digital flag of Russia, projected across both the static and dynamically extending sections of the structure.

ā€œThrough the medium of digital art, ā€˜The Russia Code’ tells the story of our country’s rich heritage,ā€ noted Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maksim Liksutov.

ā€œIn line with the objectives set by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we actively integrate innovation into the urban environment.

ā€œThis project turns a visit to the park into a unique technological experience for both Moscow residents and international guests.ā€

Screenings at Zaryadye Park will run until July 5 inclusive, from Tuesday to Sunday at 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM (with an additional screening on Saturdays at 10:00 PM).
