An inspector from the JMPD’s VIP protection unit, known as Witness K, testified before the Madlanga Commission, detailing her role in providing information about precious sugilite stones. These stones were later seized during an alleged staged police search-and-seizure operation in 2023, orchestrated by suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi.
