The National Urban League and DoorDash Launch the Virtual Financial Empowerment Center (VFEC ) App in April 2025 in conjunction with the launch of the VFEC App. Since its inception, the VFEC has provided individual economic training and self-paced studying opportunities that empower people and families with the knowledge and abilities they need to reach financial stability and create generational wealth. With the release of the app, program participants will have access to more fiscal empowerment resources, making it possible to use expert-driven financial literacy tools at any time, anywhere. Meeting people where they are and giving them the information they need to understand their financial trip with confidence may be a part of the wireless platform’s customized, on-demand content, engaging short-form videos, and engaging lessons. The VFEC software is a potent tool in shaping the future we want to see for the people we serve, according to Marc H. Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League.” Financial independence is key to thriving areas. By expanding access to free, useful financial education, we are providing people and families with the tools they need to create a stable future. This program is a direct result of our commitment to reducing poverty, bridging the racial wealth gap, and ensuring that everyone has the option to prosper. Katherine Rodriguez, Head of National Policy Engagement, DoorDash, said “VFEC represents what DoorDash and the National Urban League’s relationship does best: getting education solutions to the people who need them, how they need them.” Since our relationship began, we have seen this program expand and add more than 50 distinct training to the 92 National Urban League members. The VFEC app’s launch will make it possible for Urban League users and throwers across the nation to entry these life-changing economic learning resources at home, on the go, and on their own timetable. Through the captain group, 675 consumers have participated in 11 Urban League affiliates, 777 have completed all of their courses, and 467 have already completed theirs.
