Limpopo Police Recover Stolen TLB, Arrest 20-Year-Old Suspect On A FarmĀ

Polokwane – Police have recovered a stolen Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) machine and arrested a 20-year-old suspect at a farm in the Botlokwa, Limpopo.

The versatile construction and agricultural machine that combines a tractor, front loader, and rear backhoe into one unit was reported stolen during the past weekend in Matlala.

Police were tipped off that the stolen TLB was hidden at a farm in the area along the N1 next to Bylsteel, in Botlokwa.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the police acted on the tip-off and recovered the TLB on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.

The suspect was arrested for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

A criminal case has been registered at Botlokwa Police Station.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Morebeng Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 26 June 2026.

ā€œFurther investigations are continuing, and police are actively pursuing additional suspects believed to be linked to the theft,ā€ Colonel Ledwaba said.

ā€œMore arrests are expected as the investigation unfolds.ā€

Limpopo Commissioner of Police Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe commended the police officers and external stakeholders involved in the operation for their swift response and effective collaboration.
