As the country braces for planned anti-immigration protests on Tuesday, Cosatu and the newly formed Western Cape Coalition Against Xenophobia rejected the campaign as “fabricated, unconstitutional and inhumane”, warning that migrants are being scapegoated for the country’s economic and social crises.
