MKP Expulsions: Dudu Zuma-Sambudla, Nhlamulo Ndhlela Matter Struck Off The RollĀ

Johannesburg – Expelled uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) members Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, daughter of the party leader Jacob Zuma, and Nhlamulo Ndhlela are fighting tooth-and-nail to regain their membership.

The pair filed an urgent application in the Johannesburg High Court challenging their expulsion from the MKP.

However, today, Tuesday, 30 June 2026, the matter was struck from the roll on procedural grounds after the presiding Judge indicated that he had not been afforded sufficient opportunity to read the papers and adequately prepare himself to hear the application.

Commenting on the matter, fired MKP spokesperson, Ndhlela said: ā€œOur legal team has been instructed to re-enrol the matter on an urgent basis next week so that the Court may properly consider the merits of the applicationā€.

On the matter being struck off the roll, Ndhlela stated: ā€œImportantly, this decision was not a determination on the merits of the case, nor does it mean the case or its urgency is dismissed.

ā€œWe wish to emphasise that the substantive issues before the Court remain entirely undecided.

ā€œThe merits of our application have not been heard, argued, or adjudicated upon. Accordingly.ā€

Zuma-Sambudla, and Ndhlela were expelled from the MKP on June 18, 2026 for alleged violations of the party’s constitution, gross misconduct, sowing divisions, factionalism, parallel structures, insubordination, and actions inconsistent with the it’s values and organisational interests.

They deny the accusations and instead point to flaws in the procedure that led to their expulsion from the party.

ā€œWe remain confident that these issues deserve to be ventilated before the Court and determined in accordance with the law,ā€ Ndhlela stated.

ā€œstand with the truth that processes, and those of the MK Party Constitution as adopted by the National High Command, must be respected.

ā€œWe will continue to fight, using every lawful avenue available to us, both on the ground and in the courts, until the merits of this matter are heard and determined by a competent court.ā€œ

Ndhlela stated that the pursuit of justice demands persistence.

ā€œWe remain steadfast in the pursuit of justice. We Won’t Submit We Will Fight! Gwaza Mkhonto Gwaza!ā€
