​The City of Cape Town is putting the wheels in motion to change its by-laws governing electric mobility devices after a string of safety incidents and mounting complaints over e-bikes and e-scooters on the Sea Point Promenade reignited calls for tighter regulation of one of the city’s busiest public spaces.
