Johannesburg’s leadership has acknowledged the City has financial “issues” and “problems”. On Wednesday, during the last council meeting before the local government elections in November, councillors were asked to accept various reports, including the Municipal Finance Management Act reports for the period ending 30 April 2026 and 31 May 2026.
