Pretoria – Thirty-eight-year-old fitness fanatic Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo left her eight-year-old daughter at their Kempton Park home and went out for an afternoon run on Wednesday, 10 September 2026.
Moselakgomo never returned home and has not been seen since.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said: “When she failed to return home later on that evening, her daughter contacted family members, who subsequently reported her disappearance to the police”.
Since the disappearance was reported, Brigadier Mathe said the police have been conducting searches and following up on all available leads.
“Police have also made enquiries at hospitals and mortuaries, but these efforts have so far yielded no positive results,” the spokesperson said.
“The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are currently being investigated, and police are pursuing every possible lead to establish her whereabouts and ensure her safe return to her family.
“SAPS is making an urgent appeal to members of the public, the media and the social media community to assist in locating Moselakgomo.”
Anyone who may have seen her, knows her whereabouts, or has any information that could assist the investigation is urged to immediately contact Warrant Officer Elvis Manyike on 082 465 7249.
“Members of the public are urged to share this appeal widely across social media platforms and community networks,” said Brigadier Mathe.
“Even seemingly insignificant information could prove crucial in locating her.
“Our priority is to locate Elizabeth ‘Tsontso’ Moselakgomo and reunite her safely with her family.”
