Johannesburg – Police have arrested three suspects in connection with one of the nine bodies of women found in the last two months.
The arrests were the result of an intensified police probe into the murders of the women.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe on Monday, 21 September 2026, said one man and two women were arrested over the weekend in connection with the murder of the ninth victim.
The suspects were arrested in connection with the body found in Dawn Park, Boksburg, by the South African Police Service (SAPS) Gauteng Murder and Robbery Unit.
“The trio is expected to appear today before the Boksburg Magistrates’ Court,” said Brigadier Mathe.
The Acting National Commissioner of the SAPS, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, said police were seized with all nine murder cases, with each case receiving priority attention.
“We remain committed to ensuring that these investigations are pursued with the urgency and determination they require,” said Lieutenant General Dimpane.
“Our investigators are following all available leads and are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.”
