Estate Houses, Ferraris, BMWs, Bank Accounts Linked To Joe ‘Ferrari’ Sibanyoni Frozen

Middleburg – Everyone knows taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni has lots of money.

After all, he is known to splash out on expensive sports cars branded with a black prancing horse on a yellow background.

Sibanyoni has never been shy to show off his many Ferraris, hence the nickname.

But for the first time, the massive wealth of the taxi boss and his associates has been laid bare for all to see by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), which announced that it attached houses, top-end cars, and bank books totalling nearly R100 million.

In a statement made available to The Bulrushes, the NPA said on Thursday, 29 October 2026, that through its Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU), it “secured a provisional restraint order over assets currently estimated at R99 million linked to Joe Sibanyoni and others who are alleged to be involved in organised criminal activities including extortion”.

This means Sibanyoni and his associates cannot sell or transfer the attached properties.

The NPA said the AFU obtained an uncapped provisional restraint order from the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court, Middelburg, yesterday, Wednesday, 28 October 2026.

“The order emanates from ongoing investigations by SAPS [South African Police Service] into alleged criminal activities involving extortion and related offences linked to Sibanyoni and others,” the statement said.

The NPA stated that the restrained assets comprise movable and immovable property, which constitute realisable property and represent benefits allegedly derived from criminal activity.

“The assets include properties in exclusive golf estates in Centurion as well as several houses at estate properties in Centurion and Pretoria,” the NPA said.

“Luxury motor vehicles subject to the order include Ferraris, a Porsche, a Lexus, a Mercedes-Benz and  BMWs.”

The NPA said Sibanyoni, a self-proclaimed “Man of God”, and his associates were required to surrender various bank accounts and investments to a curator appointed by the court.

NPA spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago explained that “the restraint order advances one of the key objectives of POCA, namely, to deprive a person of the proceeds and benefits of crime”.
