The fate of Fatou Kiné Cissé seems sealed with his garde à vue Thursday and his deferment this Friday to the tribunal de grande instance hors classe de Dakar, for the dissemination of false news. The arrest of the general director of the Tahar Projects company comes after the “bomb” she dropped on a TV set concerning the security of the head of state and his prime minister. She had affirmed accusing a haut gradé of the gendarmerie: “Within the gendarmerie, I think they have not done the cleaning square. The security of the President of the Republic, especially that of his Prime Minister, is in danger. I think my words are right (…)”. After a first summons on Monday, to which she had responded by presenting a medical certificate through her lawyer, she had already been arrested by the Sûreté urbaine in December 2023 following her explosive statements relating to arms contracts; she had been convicted and had been under judicial control since March 2024.
