The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face Kenya, their Group B rival in the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which is set to begin on April 27 and run until May 18, 2025. Recently, Kenya played to a 2-2 draw against Ghana’s Black Satellites in a friendly match held in Cairo, Egypt. This match was a part of the preparation for both teams leading up to the tournament. During the match, Abdul Aziz Musibau from Dreams FC scored twice for Ghana in the first half. However, Kenya managed to equalize with goals from Hassan Beja and Lawrence Ouma before halftime. This will be Kenya’s debut in the tournament. In Group B, they will compete against Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, Tunisia, and Morocco, while Ghana is placed in Group C alongside reigning champions Senegal, Central African Republic (CAR), and DR Congo. Kenya will face Nigeria in their last group match on May 7 in Cairo.
