Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, extended his congratulations to the Christian community as they celebrate Christmas today. In his Christmas message through his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, Buni expressed gratitude for the improved peace and security in the state, allowing people to move freely and engage in their businesses. He encouraged everyone to use this celebration as a time to pray for continued peace, security, and prosperity for both the state and the nation. “We need to foster and encourage greater peace and coexistence for the development of the state,” he stated. Additionally, during a meeting with the state branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Governor called on religious leaders to promote messages of peace, love, and justice. “We must spread love as we are all created and cherished by God. All scriptures advocate for peace, so we must look out for one another,” the Governor added. The leader of the delegation, Prof. John Onyema praised Governor Buni for fostering a sense of inclusion for Christians and Nigerians from other states living in Yobe. “You have shown genuine leadership and have supported all residents of the state, regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds. We are grateful for your efforts in delivering services and projects that benefit everyone in the state,” said Prof. Onyema said.
